Carlingford West is proud of its links to other educational bodies. We have links locally through the Cumberland Community of Schools, a strong learning program with James Ruse and Cumberland High Schools and our City Country Alliance with Burke Ward Public School.
Our links with James Ruse Agricultural High school and Cumberland High School is driven by the students. Our students jointly meet to design a project that the three schools will work on for the following year. This opportunity allows our students to be extended and challenge by the high school students from these great high schools.
Burke Ward Public School is a small school located in Broken Hill. Our relationship with Burke Ward provides our students and teachers with a unique understanding and commitment to education from outside the boundaries of Sydney.
Each year our Captains and Prefects make a commitment to travel to Burke Ward and experience the school and the difference in the way education is experienced. Our leaders also use the opportunity to travel to places like Mungo National Park and learn about the real history of Australia and its ancestors.
