The wearing of the school uniform by our students has always been strongly supported by our parents. It is expected that all students will wear the full school uniform on all school days.
Carlingford West Public School has always been proud of the high standard of school uniform throughout the school. School uniform at Carlingford West is compulsory and is viewed as an important aspect of school life.

When to wear school uniform
Full school uniform
Students are expected to wear their full school uniform on all days except on specific days. These occasions are always publicised in the school Newsletter and on the App.
Sports uniform
Students are expected to wear their sports uniform on the day of the week on which their class does sport. This may vary from grade to grade and students will be advised of their day by their teacher at the beginning of each year. Sports uniform is also generally worn on days where students will be involved in sport in a major way e.g. for sports carnivals or special sports events. Parents will be advised of these through the Newsletter or on the permission slip for the event.
Summer/winter change over
As a general rule, Summer Uniform is worn in Term 1 and Term 4 and Winter Uniform is worn in Term 2 and Term 3. However, these times may alter if extreme temperature changes occur close to the changeover period. Advice of changeover dates will always be published in the Newsletter or on the App.
Lost property
Please clearly write your child’s name on all items of clothing that they are likely to remove at school, including shoes and socks. Please also label school bags, lunch box, and drink bottles. When the weather conditions are changeable at the beginning of each season students often lose unlabelled jackets and jumpers as they take them off.
